A warehouse worker is responsible for handling, organizing, and managing goods within a warehouse or distribution center. The job involves receiving shipments, storing products, picking and packing orders, and ensuring smooth inventory flow.

Duties:

• Receiving and checking incoming goods
• Unloading, labeling, and storing products correctly
• Picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch
• Performing regular inventory checks and reporting shortages/damages
• Maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in the warehouse
• Using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks
• Following company policies and health & safety regulations

What skills are needed:

• Basic literacy and numeracy (reading invoices, counting stock)
• Physical stamina (lifting, standing for long hours)
• Attention to detail (avoiding errors in picking/packing)
• Time management and organizational skills
• Ability to use warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts)
• Basic computer knowledge (inventory systems, scanners)
• Teamwork and communication skills
